Tip #6: Always start from the hem and sew up. This will prevent twisting.
Tip #7: If possible, use a twin needle to hem knits. It looks nice and professional on the outside, and the stitches will stretch so they won't pop when the fabric stretches.
Tip #8: If you are going to embroider on knits, always use a cut away stabilizer to keep the embroidery from warping when you are finished.
Tip #9: Stitch seams with a serger if you have one, otherwise use a stretch stitch (reverse action), or zig zag stitch so the seams won't pop when the fabric stretches.
Tip #10:An easy and great looking way to finish a legging, is to serge a 1" band to the hem, forming a cuff.
